2. The short version

This is a static, privately run website. It sets no cookies, uses no tracking pixels, and loads nothing from third-party servers — fonts, images, and scripts are all self-hosted.

3. Hosting (Cloudflare)

The site is served via Cloudflare Pages (Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA). When you visit, Cloudflare processes technically necessary connection data (in particular IP address, date and time of access, requested URL, user agent) to deliver the site and to fend off attacks. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in secure, performant operation). Cloudflare is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

4. Analytics (Cloudflare Web Analytics)

I use Cloudflare Web Analytics for reach measurement. It runs at the edge without cookies and without cross-visit identifiers; I only see aggregate values such as page views and load times. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

5. Dark-mode preference (localStorage)

Your light/dark theme choice is stored only locally in your browser (localStorage key "theme") and is never transmitted to me or anyone else. Storing it is strictly necessary for this feature you request.

6. Contact form (Formspree)

The contact form is handled by Formspree, Inc. (USA). What you enter (name, e-mail address, message) is processed by Formspree and forwarded to my e-mail address so I can answer you. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR. You can also just e-mail me directly instead.

7. Donation buttons (Ko-fi, PayPal)

The donation buttons in the footer are plain links/forms to Ko-fi and PayPal. Nothing happens until you click them; from that point the respective provider's privacy policy applies.

8. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right of access (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20), and objection (Art. 21), as well as the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (Art. 77) — for example the data protection authority of Baden-Württemberg, Germany.
